UConn Student and Employee Health

Huskies are at their best when they’re feeling their best. We’re committed to improving the health and wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff. This starts by cultivating a culture of caring and belonging and includes a broad array of university-wide resources, programs, and services, including scholarships, assistance in academic achievement, and internships.

Patient and Population Health

UConn faculty across academic disciplines engage in research that helps address critical issues like health disparities and food insecurity locally and beyond.

As an integrated academic medical center, UConn Health provides superior medical service while simultaneously educating tomorrow’s practitioners. Groundbreaking research and compassionate care happen throughout the system, including at the renowned Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center and the UConn Center On Aging.

Sustainability

UConn’s commitment to reducing our carbon footprint informs our operational and purchasing decisions. From waste reduction and water conservation efforts to seeking LEED certification on new construction projects, UConn is a responsible steward of our campus environment.

With more than 200 faculty members involved in clean energy research and climate change, UConn’s impact and influence has a broad reach. We offer about 20 academic programs with an environmental focus, preparing students for a range of important and in-demand careers. Additionally, regardless of their major, all UConn undergraduates are required to take an environmental literacy course.
